Inspired by the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church, Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic School strives to effectively nurture the mind, body and soul through diverse teaching strategies and a rigorous program that promotes faith, community, creativity and academic excellence.
History of OLA
Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic School, founded in 1948, was the second Catholic school to open in Charlotte, North Carolina.
In June 3, 1954 the building on Shenandoah Ave. was dedicated. In September, 1992, the current school building located at 4225 Shamrock Drive, adjacent to Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, was dedicated.
All are welcome to join the OLA community to learn, pray, work and serve.
