Mission & History
History of OLA
Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic School, founded in 1948, was the second Catholic school to open in Charlotte.
In June 3, 1954 the building on Shenandoah Ave. was dedicated. In September, 1992, the new school building located on Shamrock Drive, adjacent to Our Lady of the Assumption Church was dedicated. The school community strongly advocates a positive relationship between students, parents and teachers.
All are welcome to join the OLA community to learn, pray, work and serve.
